Catherine Bacha, a native of Fairfax, has been a passionate dancer since she was four years old and has been teaching dance since she was sixteen. With her extensive multilist training in tap, Irish dance, jazz, and Brazilian rhythms, and her former student of Jacob's Pillow, she became one of the most sought-after soloists and tap dance instructors in Brazil. After graduating from high school, she attended Chapman University in California, where she continued her dance training both in and out of school. At the Dance Coalition in Northern VA, dancers receive training and education in dance history, kinesiology, French vocabulary, and music theory, while obtaining a complete and healthy dance repertoire.

The Coalition is home to many experienced instructors who have years of experience teaching all dance styles in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Virginia, and New York. Mia Brice is one of the instructors at the Dance Coalition. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mia began her career as a dancer at the age of three at the Edge School of the Arts in Queens, New York. She went on to Pace University in New York, where she earned a degree in commercial dance with a specialization in dance pedagogy.

In her final year, she served as president of the National Honor Society for the Dance Arts and presented research in dance science at its annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her master's degree in dance from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and her degree in dance performance from Chapman University. Valerie is another instructor at the Dance Coalition. Valerie's career with the MSA began in 2000 when her daughter began her dance classes and Valerie became a volunteer mother.

She even attended the first World Jazz Dance Congress in 1990, where she was able to fully immerse herself in the unique way he had quickly come to love. In her school classroom and together with her dance students, Claire provides them with energetic opportunities for students to authentically participate in learning experiences, both independently and with their peers. Together, these two women are training brilliant dancers by raising them in a dance community where we all matter.
