The Fairfax
County Dance Coalition (FCDC) is pleased to present this
Emerging Choreographer's Show.
This exciting new
dance showcase is open
to choreographers age 17 and over who have not professionally or
publicly presented more than 5 works, and who live, work or
attend school in Fairfax County Virginia.
Choreography can be
any dance genre and limited to between 3 and 6 minutes.
The piece being
presented should not have been previously performed and must
have between 3 and 15 dancers.
The video of your
piece should have correct costuming and show the work straight
on in its entirety.
The lighting does
not have to be exact, but a description of the lighting must be
included on your entry form.
Deadline for
submission of your complete application is
February 29, 2012.
Choreographers chosen to participate in the Showcase will be
notified by
March 15, 2012.
Entries
must be available to
perform at the Showcase on
April 15, 2012.
One piece of
choreography will be chosen by the professional members of the
Fairfax County Dance Coalition as the best in the Showcase.
The winning
choreographer will be awarded $500.00 and the piece will be
presented in the Fairfax County Dance Coalitions 3rd
Annual Dance Gala on
October 6 & 7,
2012.

Please fill out the
entry form in its entirety and return it with a DVD of the piece
being entered, and a check in the amount of $35.00 made payable
to FCDC. Your entry fee includes a complimentary one year
membership in the Fairfax County Dance Coalition.
